Role Descriptions

What we do

We are a team committed to providing students with exceptional on campus experiences related to nutrition, health, and dietetics. We work collaboratively to organize events that benefit our student body. We are all strong student leaders who contribute a piece of the puzzle to make student experience for Nutrition and Food students on campus great.

President & Vice-President

Lead the organization and are responsible for overseeing all operations of our student group. They take on tasks headfirst, and initiate as well as see through ideas and projects while managing the whole team. They have strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, as well as a great vision for the team.

Events Team

Is responsible for everything from planning to executing all tasks related to our events. The team is made up of an Events Director and up to five Events Committee Members. They work with together, alongside the President & VP, to plan events, sort out event logistics, contact speakers, and arrange any details for our events on campus based on feedback from previous years, or based on newfound ideas that align with the vision of the student group.

Communications Team

Is dedicated to the promotion, marketing, and communication of all events organized by the NCU. The team is made up of a Communications Director and a Communications Representative for each year of the program. They are in charge of keeping the students informed of and excited about upcoming events on campus, as well as opportunities provided by the group through Social Media, our blog, and in-class announcements. They create promotional materials and visuals using various software such as Canva and WordPress to spread the word. They participate in the decision-making process when it comes to events, and support the whole team on the day of the event.
