Meet & Greet Social 2015 – A Recap

The Nutrition Course Union was very excited to host our first event this school year! Partnering with Ryerson’s Tri-mentoring program, the Meet & Greet Social brought together many students ranging from 1st all the way to 4th year students along with those that signed up to be mentors and mentees with Tri-mentoring.

The event started out with an introduction from NCU’s very own president Olivia, and Allysa from Tri-mentoring. They then took to answering questions that were thrown at them (literally!) by the crowd, and gave some important advice to students tackling there first year at Ryerson.

Salar and Megan then hosted a ‘Get To Know Your Mentor/Mentee’ game that tested how well each mentor and mentee pair knew about each other. It was hilarious hearing some of the responses and it definitely got entire crowd having fun.

What’s an event without food?! The school of Nutrition never disappoints in this department. We had delicious wraps, pasta salad, pizza, fresh fruit and veggies, and even shrimp cocktail. Yum yum yum!

While many were busy enjoying the food, many took part in taking pictures in the photo booth that had tons of cute and goofy props. This also gave everyone the chance to mix, mingle and meet new friends.

The night ended off with a raffle prize give away to one lucky student!

In the end, the event turned out to be a huge success, so be sure to stay in the loop for more upcoming events from the NCU! If you want to join or learn more about tri-mentoring, click the link to get more info.
